MANGO

Mango is a UK registered charity. Our mission is to strengthen the financial management of Non Governmental Organisations (NGOs).

Mango meets an urgently felt need in the NGO sector. The sector recognises that it needs to operate to high professional standards at all times. That means working with really robust financial management.

Our practical services help NGOs to achieve this. As a result, they can do more with their money. They can support more communities, dig more wells and - in the extreme case - save more lives.

Our services also help NGOs build trust with all of their partners by being accountable for the money they spend.

Mango was founded in 1999. We have been welcomed by NGOs and have established a reputation for delivering high quality services.
Mission statement

Mango's mission is to strengthen the financial management of NGOs working in humanitarian aid and development.

We achieve this through six activities:
  1. Providing financial management staff for NGOs and related organisations.
  2. Providing financial management training to strengthen the practical skills and confidence of people working with NGOs.
  3. Publishing practical tools and resources for NGO financial management.
  4. Providing specialist consultancy services in NGO financial management.
  5. Encouraging NGO staff to share their financial management experience and information.
  6. Contributing to debates on NGO management and governance.
We work within the framework of our publicly stated values:

In all our work we act with integrity and aim to:
  • Be professional and ensure our work is high quality,
  • Be approachable and listen to other people s views,
  • Balance our interests with other stakeholders interests,
  • Collaborate with and empower other organisations/individuals,
  • Be transparent and take responsibility for the results of our actions,
  • Be both inspirational and practical.
By following these values we ensure that our activities have a lasting and concrete impact which contributes to achieving our mission in practice.
